Working together

Credit & confidentiality

Two questions come up on nearly every engagement: will you name us, and do we have to name you? Here are both answers in advance, with what it costs to change either one.

OptionWhat you getPrice
StandardWe may name you as a client and show non-confidential work in our case studies. You're under no obligation to promote us.Included
No creditWe're not named publicly in connection with the work, and you're under no obligation to credit us anywhere.+50% of the fee
Full confidentialityWe don't name you, don't publish a case study, and don't reference the engagement at all for 12 months. Indefinite quoted on request.+75% of the fee

Whichever applies to you is written into your engagement agreement, so this page and your contract always say the same thing.

The questions people actually ask

Do we have to put your logo on anything?

No. Nothing we do requires you to promote us. The standard arrangement is just that we're free to say we worked together and show the results.

We'd rather nobody knew we outsource this.

Very common, and completely reasonable. That's the no-credit option at 50% of the fee — we're simply not named, and you present the work as yours.

Can you show our numbers in a case study?

Only non-confidential results, and only if you haven't taken one of the options above. If a specific figure is sensitive, tell us and we'll leave it out — that costs nothing and we'd rather you said so than worried about it.

Why is confidentiality priced above no-credit?

Because they cost us different amounts. Not being named is one thing; not being able to reference the work at all removes it from how we win the next engagement. Hence 50% versus 75%.

Can we change our mind later?

Yes, in either direction. Ask us to take something down and we will. Adding an option after signing is quoted the same way it would have been at the start.
